Video Game High School

This online youtube series that lasted 3 years has finally come to an end. Bittersweet, but overall, a great series to watch.

VGHS is something worth watching, and honestly I didn’t think that many people actually watch it too. It’s filled with comedy, romance and lots of gaming of course and it all started with an idea.

With an idea, there always has to be the work to be put in to make it great, and Rocketjump, a production that directed it and pulled it off fantastically.

First, there is their writing team. Over the course of three years, they have made a unique set of characters, so different from each other, but connect so well. Each one has had their own special and distinct background that makes them all special and great as whole. Not to mention their character development.

But the thing that really awes me is there filming and editing. Filming and editing is hard and stressful enough as it is, and although Rocketjump has been known for its impressive filming and editing, a series is a lot of dedication to take in. They film in various places, that make it feel like they’re actually in the games. They also edit things to make nothing into something.

The thing that gets uncredited the most are the people in the credits. To be behind the cameras, there is so many things going on that in the end there is about 10 minutes full of people that have helped develop the shows. Each person on that long list of credits has their own important role in making the show. Without them, there wouldn’t be the team that makes the show great. With the people acting, filming, hair and make-up, or just an extra, makes the show that much more interesting and more significant.

Each season takes about a year to make, but they like to keep their fans updated. They have behind the scenes, and production updates, wether its on the writing, filming, directing, or just goofing off. If you haven’t watched the youtube series yet, do it.
